Small-long brooch of Leeds 1945 square-head (plain) type. Parts of the edges of the headplate and the lower footplate are missing. The headplate is punctured by a small hole. Incomplete single pin lug and catchplate on reverse. A ring-and-dot is visible near the two more intact corners of the headplate. D-sectioned bow with rectangular panels forming facets at top and base. Single transverse groove above side chafers on footplate. Ancient breaks. Length >39mm. Width >22.5mm. 6^th century.
