A small rounded rectangular object or frame with a central rectangular aperture. The object appears to be made of copper alloy. The frame bears gilded lettering of Gothic form against a background of black enamel. The lettering reads IN MEMOR ROI - which probably means In Memory of the King.
Notes:
This is probably from an item of mourning jewellery of Regency date, though it is not clear which king is being referred to.
