A cast lead spindle whorl of Medieval date.
The spindle whorl is circular in plan, and diamond-shaped in section rather than the more typical biconical shape. The top has three concentric circles with raised dots, while the underside has (in higher relief) raised lines radiating from the central perforation to the outer edge creating panels, each containing either two or three raised dots. The underside is patterned with three concentric circles and raised dots.
