An Early Post-Medieval (1600-1700) cast composite two-piece copper alloy (with high tin content) button with separate embedded copper alloy wire shank. It is solid and discoidal in shape with a convex front and flat back. At the centre of the convex side is a pimple. The metal has a mostly smooth, silvery patina.
The button measures 14.71mm in diameter and stands 5.78mm withouth the loop (7.11mm with), which is squashed to one side. It weighs 3.85g.
