The base of a large copper alloy pot leg dating from the Medieval or post Medieval period. The foot of the pot leg is rounded while the leg is rectangular in section. The surface is sooted indicating that the leg is from o cooking pot, and the break at the top of the leg is only partially patinated. It has a length of 46.90mm, width 42.73mm, thickness 22.87mm, weight 356g. For reference see Geake 2001, Finds Recording Guide. The leg is large enough that it is probably from a cauldron dating from 1200 – 1600.
