A cast post medieval copper alloy figure of eight type IIIC buckle from the late 16th century. This example is missing one half, the remaining half has a ‘D’ shape cross section and has a single rosette to the point of the buckle with small appendages to each end of the central bar.
The buckle has a smooth dark green patina with some iron staining from a probable iron pin.
