A silver denarius of the Roman Republican period, minted in 119 BC under M. Furius L.f. Philus; RRC no. 281/1. The coin's surfaces are worn. It measures 19.1mm in diameter, 1.4mm thick and weighs 3.48g.
This coin commemorates the victories over the Allobroges and Arverni tribes in Gaul, achieved in 121 BC by Cn. Domitius Ahenobarbus and Q. Fabius Maximus (Allobrogius) (Sear 2000: 102, no. 156).
