Angled copper-alloy horse hoof knife terminal length 20mm, width 13mm, thickness 7mm, weight 6.72g.It has an oval shape, with a slot for an iron tang at the base. The end cap is in the form of a horse-hoof terminal, the 'hoof' being oval in section and curves at a 60angle. The top of the foot is flat with the exception of two raised elements at the rear, and has a groove representing the frog and at least five circular punch marks for the shoe nail holes.The terminal is similar to an example in: “Material culture in London in an age of transition”, Egan, 2005, p. 92, Date late 15th –16th century.
