Small-long brooch of Leeds (1945) square-headed (panelled) type, footplate missing. Edges of headplate badly scuffed. Lines of sub-triangular stamped impressions follow the sides and top of the panel. Rectangular panels forming facets at top and base of D-sectioned bow (that at base incomplete). Length >29mm. Width 20.5mm. Ancient break. 6th century.
