A cast copper alloy, double loop, trapezoidal buckle with openwork frame, dating from c. 1620-1680. The outer edge of each loop has a fleur de lis protrusion and is pierced with two rectangular holes. There are ovoid knops on the angles of the frame and a protrusion at either end of the strap bar. The copper alloy pin remains in place See Whitehead, Buckles 1250 - 1800, p. 85, No. 534. It is 52.5mm long, 33.9mm wide and 6.3mm thick. It weighs 12.67gm.
