Collection of 13 Mesolithic/Neolithic flints. 1: Small blade with slight edge retouch on the edges near the incomplete distal end. One edge is worked from one face and the other from the other face. Made from dark brown flint, patinated pale blue/grey and white. Probably Mesolithic. Surviving length 41 mm, width 14 mm, thickness 6 mm. 2: Fragment of probable blade, both ends missing. Pale brown flint patinated a blue/grey. Probably Mesolithic. Surviving length 19 mm, width 20 mm, thickness 4 mm. 3: Small secondary flake with possible use-wear or slight retouch on one edge of the distal end. The other edge is formed of cortex. Medium/dark brown flint with slight blue/grey patination on the bulbar face. Probably Mesolithic or Neolithic. Length 36 mm, width 14 mm, thickness 4 mm. 4 & 5: Two flakes or blades, patinated pale blue/grey. Probably Mesolithic. 6 & 7: Two small flakes or blades, slightly patinated pale blue/grey. Slight edge retouch or use wear. Probably Mesolithic or Neolithic. 8-11: Four secondary flakes, one with a hinge fracture and one with surviving cortex. All patinated. 11 is the right shape to have been used as a scraper, but its distal end with any shaping is missing. All probably Mesolithic or Neolithic. 12: Broken secondary flake with light patination. Probably Mesolithic or Neolithic. 13: Broken secondary flake with retouch or use wear on both edges. Probably Mesolithic or Neolithic. Found with a group of Neolithic to Bronze Age flints.
