Composite type strap-end, made from two sheets of copper alloy. The strap-end is 52.5 mm long, and tapers from 13.5 mm wide at the attachment end to 11.5 mm wide just before the terminal. The terminal is 17 mm long and has elaborately cut-out sides forming a trefoil on a long stem, with two transverse lobes crossing the stem. There is a single copper-alloy rivet at the attachment end and another at the terminal. One of the plates is decorated with a saltire of rocker-arm engraving at the attachment end, and an untidy line of rocker-arm extending from this towards the terminal. 14th century.
