Copper alloy flat enamelled disc brooch. Missing pin, damaged headloop and catchplate. Pin hinged on two close set lugs. A central 3.5mm diam recess could have held enamel or some other setting; two narrow concentric grooves are also empty but an outer 3mm wide band contains enamel, alternately plain ?white (now cream coloured) and pairs of black lines on ?white. The brooch shape is not unusual (Hattatt nos 1038-1039 have the single headloop projection) but the use of millefiori type dark lines is not so easy to parallel.
