A gold finger-ring, 18mm in external diameter and 15mm in internal diameter. The hoop has a circular cross-section and is likely to have been originally formed of beaded wire, this is still visible on the inside edge, but not on the outside edge due to wear. There are two gold globules on either shoulder, the setting is plain and oval in shape, it is 5mm in length, 3.5mm in width and 3.5mm in depth.
The setting still contains some kind of probably organic material- perhaps coral. There was a similar gold finger-ring found as part of the Thetford treasure which is late fourth or early fifth century in date, it has the same internal diameter and beaded hoop, however its setting was circular and contained green glass inlaid with gold wire.
