Roman cast copper alloy Developed T-shaped brooch. The wings are rectangular in plan and are rolled to form a circular cross section with a slot in the centre where the hinged copper alloy pin is attached. The front of the wings have three vertical grooves towards there ends. The bow is prominantly arched, with the upper section having five vertical grooves above five horizontal mouldings. The lower section of the bow has a triangular cross section. There is a small triangular catchplate, missing the folded end, on the reverse of the foot. The pin bends towards the catch, and there is a small fracture running through the tip of the pin. The brooch is 19.94mm long, 17.90mm wide across the wings, 4.41mm wide across the bow, 12.73mm deep and weighs 2.54 grams.
