A sherd of the wall from a ceramic vessel which is probably Roman in date. The fabric is fairly soft and has an irregular fracture. It is buff grey, more tan on the surfaces. It feels rough and has well sorted angular quartz and grit inclusions with some mica. The sherd is 41.9mm long, 42.39mm wide and 9.88mm thick. It weighs 25.42g.
