An incomplete cast copper-alloy seal matrix of probable post-Medieval, 17th century date. The majority of the handle is missing and the surviving part is sub-oval in cross-section. The oval die is engraved with capital letters: WG (as impressed) with an engraved flourish above and below. This seal matrix has a dark green patina with small areas of corrosion and the break is old. 7.5 x 16.2 x 14.0mm. Weight: 2.70g.
