A rim sherd from a large ceramic jar of Roman to Medieval date. The rim extends outwards at 90 degrees from the body of the vessel. It has a flat upper surface and a convex underside. The point at which the underside of the rim meets the outer surface of the pot is marked by a groove. The fabric is light grey, has a pinkish-brown surface and sand inclusions. The edges are slightly abraded. It measures 84.7mm long, 36.2mm wide and 14.2mm thick. It weighs 46.32g.
