Four ceramic tesserae (mosaic tiles) of Roman date. The tiles are all of cuboid form and irregular in nature. One of the tiles has white mortar adhering to one of its surfaces. The fabric is mid orange in colour. The tiles are all of similar size, being approximately 25mm long, 20-25mm wide and between 16 and 20mm thick. The total weight of the assemblage is 55.48g. These tiles were found in association with a quantity of Roman pottery and, significantly, with a piece of box flue tile (see BH-2887D0).
