Garnet central setting, flat type, sheet gold foil placed between glass settings. Cloisons take form of blue circle around garnet.5 projecting (white) enamel triangles from circle. Interspaces filled with black ?glass. Inner rim form & central setting border type 1 (BAR 1975) 4 major, glass filled lugs, each with 2 non-filled lugs at either side,12 in all. 2 remaining coloured, one blue, one white, both on same edge of brooch fastening type 1.
