A cast copper alloy medieval ring brooch, complete with copper alloy pin. The brooch has four raised oval settings that contained paste - one of the settings retains yellow paste. Between the settings the face of the brooch is decorated with thick incised vertical lines following the curviture of the brooch. The reverse of the brooch is plain. The pin is intact and is simply looped around a recess in the brooch. This is a very nice example of a 13th - 14th century brooch in undamaged condition. The brooch measures 18.30mm diameter and is 3.18mm maximum thickness. It weighs 2.5gms.
