TOKEN

Unique ID: SUSS-170D24

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

Medieval to Post Medieval cast lead alloy circular unifaced token. The token has a raised design of many randomly placed pellets on the obverse and a flat, undecorated reverse. The token measures 19.8mm in diameter, 2.3mm thick and weighs 4.83grams. Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally; they are therefore hard to date precisely and could be Medieval or Post Medieval in date (1250-1850 AD).
