Unique ID: SOM-16A108

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

Flint scraper on a secondary flake of probable Neolithic to early Bronze Age date. The object is very small in size, suggesting that flint was a valuable resource for whoever created it. There are several small, thin removals on the dorsal face. Abrupt, very short, scaled retouch can be seen along the left edge of the dorsal face. A small section of chalky brown cortex remains at the proximal end of the dosral face. The flint is mid grey-brown in colour, speckled with lighter patches and has a shiny patina. Length: 22.67mm, Width: 17.37, Thickness: 4.91mm, Weight: 1.9g
