Cast copper alloy brooch pin. Medieval. The shank of the pin is square in section. The head is oval and separated from the shank by two ridges. This style of pin is common in silver medieval annular brooches. The copper alloy ones in this style are less common, as the pins for the copper alloy brooches are more commonly a strip of copper bent around the frame of the brooch.
