D-shaped buckle frame, bent and slightly arched bar and outside edge with rather worn engraved Ringerike-style animal ornament. Two animals grip the ends of the bar in their mouths and their tails curl around on the front face of the outside edge flanking a triangular lobe or projection in the centre of the outside edge, pin missing. 31 x 35mm. Cf. examples from North Creake (Norfolk HER 11707) and Great Dunham (Norfolk HER 4194). 11th century.
