Cast copper alloy stud dating from the Medieval to Post-Medieval period. It is semi-circular in plan with a rounded projection forming a broad leaf shape. The outer edge is serrated while the rounded projection is plain. Four small grooves form the decorative veins of the leaf. The remains of gilding can be seen in the grooves and between the serrations. The reverse of the object is undecorated and contains a long integral pin which is bent upwards. The pin is square in cross-section and tapers to a rounded point. It has a light green patina.
