A rim sherd of a Roman New Forest Ware globular beaker (c. AD 320-c. 350). The sherd comprises part of the rim and shoulder of the vessel. The Fine Ware fabric is greyish/off-white and is colour coated. Dividing the rim from the shoulder, there is an in incised line below is a single incised wavy line. All this decoration would have extended around the vessel circumferentially. The break are old and abraded as a result of being in the mobile environment of the inter-tidal zone. 44.5 x 39.0 x 5.8mm.
