Medieval cast copper alloy rotary key, 13th-14th century. Lozenge-shaped shouldered bow, oval-sectioned shank, rectangular bit with single square cleft in the outer edge, narrowed pointed pin in end of shank (length 3.3mm). File marks on the bit and bow. Mid blue-green patina. The shank is slight bent towards the loop end. Length 38.0mm, width across bow 12.7mm, thickness of bow 2.4mm, length of bit and shank 11.7mm, width of bit 8.0mm, min thickness of bit (at end) 1.5mm, max thickness (across end of shank), weight 3.64g.
