A basesherd/fragment of a wheelthrown ceramic vessel. The sherd is 7.53mm thick and weighs 16.1g. The sherd is 32.61mm long and 45.91mm wide. The sherd consists of a basesherd, most likely from a a Roman storage jar type, in a fabric displaying similar characteristics to Severn Valley Ware. This type of pottery is generally consistent with a broad Romano-British dating, 1st to 4th Century AD.
