Incomplete Post-Medieval copper alloy openwork buckle frame. The buckle is sub-rectangular in shape. It is decorated with two circular loops on each of the shorter sides and three knops in the centre of the outer edge of the longer sides. The central knop of each grouping contains the remains of an iron strap bar. The rest of this is now missing. Similar buckle frames may be seen on pp.98-99 of Whitehead (2003), particularly numbers 613&623. Whitehead (ibid.) dates these to the late-17th/early-18th century.
