A sherd/fragment of a dark green glazed ceramic roof tile. The sherd is 10.50mm thick and weighs 11.8g. It is 36.82mm long and 29.24mm wide. The sherd consists of a fragment of a dark green glazed flat ceramic roof tile, similar in colour to those produced during the Late Medieval Period down in the Redcliffe Area of Bristol. It is of 14th to 15th century dating. Sherd specific details: Fabric type: Redcliffe type Sherd type: rooftile Wall thickness: 10.50mm Tile type: Flat Firing condition: oxidised exterior, unoxidised core, oxidised interior Hardness: hard Glaze: Dark green copper glaze.
