Silver sceat of Early-Medieval date, c.700-765. Obverse: plumed bird facing right, tubular body¸ head bent down, triple-forked tail, prominent claws, cross pommee below head, pellets in field. Reverse: Beaded standard with off central pellet in annulet, lines and pellets within and also in margin. Class: Bird, Sub-group 1, Primitive bird, Series E, Variety K (Abramson). Culture: Anglo-Saxon. Find recorded from images supplied by North West MDC. Unfortunately no measurements recorded by club.
