Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative brooch dating to the 1st century AD. The bow is very narrow tapering to a point. The catchplate is broken with a small fragment remaining. The spring mechanism is intact but the pin is missing. The length is 42mm, the width is 17 mm, the thickness is 7mm and the weight is 5.26g.
