A complete cast lead trade weight of medieval to post-medieval date. The weight is shield-shaped and is decorated on one surface with a large raised fleur-de-lys design. Lead shield-shaped weights of various qualities of workmanship and numerous designs have been in use over a long period of time. Therefore due to the lack of any further contextual evidence it is not possible to date this object any more closely. The metal is a mid greyish-white colour and is slightly worn. The weight is 29.3mm long, 25.3mm wide, 5.9mm thick and weighs 25.3g.
