Openwork medieval to post-medieval furniture fitting, comprising an escutcheon with a central hole and moulded detail on the front face, a very elaborate quatrefoil with a heart-shaped petals alternating with trefoil sprigs and around the whole eight annulets (four open, four blind). Thickness 2mm, diameter 30mm. Very similar to an example from south-west Wiltshire (Read 2001 no. 342). 15th - 17th century.
