Cast copper alloy Dolphin type brooch with hinge mechanism. Hinge encased in rolled copper sheet, forming the wings. A 4mm wide gap in the wings reveals 2 turns in the spring. Pin broken after 6mm. Wings are 31mm wide and 5mm in diameter. Bow is 23mm long and 10mm wide at the head, tapering down to 5mm at the break. Decorated with a raised triangle at the head of the bow, surrounded by 4 small punched triangles. Similar to Hattatt type 21 (Visual catalogue page 299)
