Silver hinged artefact, possibly a strap-end, trapezoid shape. With gothic style cusped ornament broken-off opposite the hinges, in the middle of which is a study for holding something, presumably textile or leather, in place.
Notes:
As such, due to its precious metal content and age, it qualifies as Treasure under the terms of the Treasure Act 1996.
