Unique ID: WAW-CE36F6

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

Silver hinged artefact, possibly a strap-end, trapezoid shape. With gothic style cusped ornament broken-off opposite the hinges, in the middle of which is a study for holding something, presumably textile or leather, in place.

Notes:

Style suggests late 15th, early 16th century in date.

As such, due to its precious metal content and age, it qualifies as Treasure under the terms of the Treasure Act 1996.
