A copper alloy Medieval buckle plate fragment, incomplete due to old breaks. The folded plate is broken off across the two sides of the pin slot, and has been recessed for the bar of a buckle. There are two rivets through the plate, and there are traces of gilding visible through the corrosion product which covers the surface of the plate. The fragment measures 18.88mm in length, 9.31mm in width and tapers to the terminal opposite the pin slot (7.62mm in width). It weighs 0.9g.
