A fragment of a ceramic vessel of Medieval Saintonge ware. (c. 1250-1350). A complete strap handle is attached to the rim and the body. The surfaces are creamy grey and the outer face may have been glazed. However, none has survived. The breaks are old and abraded and the surfaces are generally worn. It was found in sand within the inter-tidal zone. 56.5 x 84.0mm. Weight: 66.64g.
