Fragment of a bronze cauldron 1200-1500 AD. The form of the rim strongly suggests that this is a medieval cauldron fragment. Bronze Age cauldrons are made from thin sheet metal and are not cast like this fragment incomplete bronze fragment. The fragment is 65mm long, 88mm wide, 5mm thick and weighs 105.67g. The piece has a slightly curved cross section, and splays outwards at the rim.
