Only the zoomorphic shaped head terminal of the strap end remains. The has a slightly convex shaped base which is undecorated. The sides and top of the head is moulded so that the head is slightly bulbous and narrows forming the snout. Behind the head there is a horizontal sub-triangular shape protruding which has a broken edge along the base. The broken edge is not recent. The reverse of this portion of the strap end is flush with the base of the head, and is also slightly convex. The upper surface is decorated with a triangular shaped silvered/tinned ?plate. This plate is incised with a 'V' shape. The strap end has a mid/pale green coloured patina.
