Medieval or post medieval token; cast lead token of probable 14th-16th century date. The token is a disc of lead with decoration on one face. The decoration is in the form of a long cross with a single pellet in each quadrant. The reverse is undecorated. This form of decoration is common and has many similarities to the reverse decoration on silver pennies of the period. Diameter 18.04mm, thickness 2.27mm, weight 3.05g Ref: Fletcher ‘Leaden Tokens and Tallies; Roman to Victorian’ (pp. 40-41 and 45)
