A rim sherd from a medieval ceramic vessel. The sherd is 36.6mm long, 30.4mm wide and the wall is 6.7mm thick. It weighs 11.3g. The fabric is buff throughout. The fabric has frequent poorly sorted light coloured grains (quartz?) and some dark and red grains (grog?). It is hard and fine with a pimply surface. This pottery is probably in the Northern Gritty Ware tradition. The rim radius is about 150mm.
