Three sherds of high medieval domestic pottery vessels dating from the mid 13th to 16th centuries. 1) Sherd of (possibly) the base of a chamber pot? The base would have had a complete diamter of 11cm. The fabric has a pinky-orange outer with a grey core, frequent iron stained stones / grains and internally the base has been glazed with a brown green glaze. This sherd measures 53.38mm long, 40.82mm wide, 18.84mm thick and weighs 48.8gms. 2) Small body sherd of a 'tudor green' whiteware type vessel, glazed with a mottled brown glaze internally, with a light orange paint on the outside. The fabric is fine grained with no inclusions visible to the naked eye. This sherd measures 22.30mm long, 18.46mm wide, and is 18.84mm thick. It weighs 4.5gms. Surrey Whitewares and similar fabrics were in production from c. 1250-1500. 3) Body sherd of a possible London-ware variant. Internal dark olive green glaze with brown slip on the external wall. The fabric has been fired to a dark orange / red while retaining the grey core; fine grained with very small inclusions just visible to the naked eye. This sherd measures 32.46mm long, 18.82mm wide, 8.08mm thick and weighs 7.8gms. This type of pottery was made between the mid 12th and 15th century.
