A medieval or post medieval cast copper alloy rim sherd from a vessel. It is sub-rectangular, with three rough and jagged edges; the fourth is smooth and is the rim. On one face of the sherd is an uneven ridge parallel to the rim. The object is covered in a dark green patina with patches of black burned deposits. These objects are difficult to date, with continued use from c. 1200 to c. 1800. This fragment measures 1.85mm x 1.74mm x 1.2mm (1.5mm with ridge) and weighs 6.06g.
