Medieval cast copper alloy single looped buckle frame with pin. The buckle is trapezoidal with a longer outer side and bevelled outer edge. The outer edge is decorated with two pairs of incised diagonal lines flanking the blank centre. The strap bar is narrowed. The pin is probably cut from sheet, it is rectangular in section, looped 270 degrees around the bar and narrows to a point at the end. The frame is 23.2mm long, 13.0mm wide and 2.0mm thick; the pin is 14.2mm long, 1.9mm wide and 1.0mm thick; it weighs 2.17 grams. Whitehead (2003) illustrates a similar example with different incised grooves (p.26, No.127) which he dates to c1300-1500 AD.
