An incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman brooch. This brooch is of T-shaped Colchester derivative type dating to the early to late first century. The brooch is missing the bottom half of its bow, pin and catch plate, one of the arms are also missing. The bow of the brooch has a central incised line, the remainder of the bow is heavily corroded however and no other decoration can be picked out. The arms of the brooch have incised decoration in the form of vertical grooves around their circumference. The head of the bow has a groove present from the hinge mechanism of the pin. In profile the bow has a humped head and curved reverse.
