HOOK

Unique ID: WMID3119

Object type certainty: Possibly
Workflow status: Published Find published

This is a possible hook. Two strands of copper alloy wire, one longer than the other, are bound together with a third more narrow piece of wire. The binding is very tight and close together. One terminal of each length of wire protrudes from the binding with a short length. The lower terminal of the shorter length of wire protrudes through the binding forming a spur. The lower terminal of the longer length of wire tapers, through ?wear and curves forming a curved 'L' shape. The majority of the bound wire is straight. The wires has a dark green patina.
