One body shard from a Roman greyware vessel. The shard is fairly fine and slightly sandy in texture. It is buff-grey in colour with a slightly darker, smooth outer surface. The inner surface is much abraded. The outer surface has a grooved line decorating it. The main inclusions are abundant poorly sorted fragments of white and clear quartz, with occasional large darker particles, possibly of iron ore. Length: 35.95mm, Width: 27.64mm, Thickness: 12.70mm Weight: 10.29g
