FIXTURES AND FITTINGS

Unique ID: WMID3107

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Published Find published

The terminal appears to protrude from a possible vessel or platform. This is suggested by the abraded platform from which the terminal protrudes. The platform is a sub-rectangular shape, with all edges being broken, these are not recent breaks. The terminal is a zoomorphic shape, possible representing a bird or a dolphin. The terminal has a long sleek neck which is oval in section. The neck becomes wider as the head is defined. The head is also oval in section and has a pointed oval shaped eye with oblique grooves above. The mouth of the bird tapers and appears like a long bill. The bill is also decorated with oblique grooves. The terminal has a complete dark green patina.
